Saturday morning

Cereal snacks with a side of roomba entertainment for Willa.

sunday night

i want to remember tonight.

we all went to a movie with E this afternoon and the boys and girls drove separately.

by the time jackson and travis got home with some errands after the movie, i had put willa to bed and maggie was zonked out on the couch.

jackson was reading on his bed when i asked him if he wanted to go on a walk with me.

he almost always does.

we changed, grabbed some popsicles and walked around the block.

our walk turned into catching lightning bugs in the backyard and passing the soccer ball.

after we came in he found me reading on my bed and asked if he could join.

i just want to remember.

weekend update

I took the girls (thats fun to say) to High Point for a quick trip on Friday night.  Maggie loves a good sleepover.

My main reason for the impromptu trip was to visit Grandmommy and give Willa some time with her.  Grandmommy’s first time holding Willa!

Mother’s Day Weekend 2018

It already feels like summer!  We had a nice weekend doing lots of nice weekend things.  Friday night pizza, first swim of the summer, a campout for the boys, movie night, Mother’s day, Meme’s birthday, and more swimming!

weekend in high point

we are getting ready for a really fun weekend, but first i want to remember what we did last weekend!  i couldn’t even remember the last time i had been to my parents’ house and since the office was closed for moving i took the opportunity to visit high point.  we left right after school on friday.  we helped decorate the tree, ate lots of treats, saw Grandmommy, and visited old salem!  mom and dad spoiled as….. as usual.

it was fun to take the kids to old salem, i always liked going and i had been wanting to take them at christmas time.  we had a great time.  mom and dad treated us to a wonderful lunch at the tavern and we loaded up on treats at the bakery.  my kids ask A LOT of questions.  they loved running in the town square.

it was special to stop by the college and academy where grandmommy attended in the 1930s (and jean in 1996 🙂

thanks mom and dad, we love you!
